Day 01Kathmandu to Dhangadhi
• Depature: Early morning flight from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi airport (approx. it takes 1
hour).
• Travel Silgadhi: Drive from Dhangadhi to Silgadhi (the district headquarters of Doti),
which takes about 5-6 hours by road.
• Lunch enroute via Silgadhi.
• Arrive in Silgadhi by evening and check-in at a local hotel and restaurant.
• Enjoy your dinner and rest overnight at hotel and local restaurant. -
Day 02 Silgadhi to Khaptad National Park
• Drive to trekking point: After breakfast, drive towards the Trek starting point at Khadga
(Khaptad Gate), located about 4-5 hours from Silgadhi by jeep or local vehicle.
• The road is quite rough, and you may need to use a 4×4 vehicle due to the rugged terrain.
• Being Trek to Khaptad: Once you reach the gate, begin your trek into Khaptad National
Park. The trek typically takes around 3-4 hours to reach the Khaptad plateau, depending
on your pace and trail conditions.
• Enjoy the scenic views of the park, with its lush forests, meadows, and views of the
surrounding mountains.
• Arrive in Khaptad: Settle into a guesthouse or camp near the park. You’ll likely be
staying in basic accommodations, but you’ll experience the pristine natural environment.
• Overnight Stay: Camp or stay in a guesthouse near the park. -
Day 03Explore Khaptad National Park
• Explore Khaptad National Park: After breakfast, set off to explore the stunning
Khaptad National Park. The park is known for its biodiversity, with a mix of forests,
meadows, and alpine landscapes.
• Trek to Khaptad baba Ashram: Visit the Khaptad Baba Ashram, a spiritual site located
within the park. The ashram is dedicated to a local saint and offers a peaceful
environment for meditation.
• Wildlife and Flora: Keep an eye out for wildlife such as musk deer, tigers, leopards, and
various bird species. The flora includes rhododendron forests, oak trees, and medicinal
herbs.
• Explore the Surrounding Areas: You can take short treks to other scenic spots in the
park, such as the Khaptad Lake (if accessible), which is a serene spot perfect for
relaxation and photography.
• Overnight Stay: Camp or stay in a guesthouse near the park. -
Day 04Khaptad to Dhangadhi
• Trek back to the Gate: After breakfast, begin your trek back to the starting point at
Khaptad Gate. The trek will take about 3-4 hours.
• Drive back to Dhangadhi: Once you reach the gate, take a vehicle back to Dhangadhi, a
drive that will take about 4-5 hours.
• Arrive in Dhangadhi: We will arrive at Dhangadhi by evening and check into a hotel.
• Overnight Stay: Explore Dhangadhi local market, enjoy your dinner and stay overnight
in a hotel. -
Day 05Dhangadhi to Kathmandu
• Explore some famous places: After early morning breakfast, move to visit Shivpuri
Dham (Hindu temple) and Jakhor Tal.
• Afternoon: Back to the hotel and enjoy your breakfast and move towards Dhangadhi
airport.
• Take a flight from Dhangadhi to Kathmandu (approx. 1 hour)
• Arrive in Kathmandu by evening.
